Whoo! What a day! Leaving the house at 7AM and coming home at 12:30AM… Driving around and visiting friends and having fun and all that good stuff. I hope I get to do this crazy crap again some time. So what’d I do?

7AM left the house… got stuck on the 605-S and finally crawled out of the freeway snot. Greatest thing about freeways… I get on 405-S and I’m stuck in traffic once again… -_-’ making me get to Eric’s house around 7:50 instead of the projected 7:20 or so. Not too bad I guess… only half an hour late, but I was supposed to meet Uyen at 7:20 – 7:30 so that obviously didn’t happen.

Grabbed a bite to eat and I do mean just a bite… then left to visit FVHS, the high school I graduated from. Eric and I walk into the front office to get a visitor parking pass and soon left to visit Dr. Poff who happened to have been enjoying a free period. Chatted for a short while and all departed for the office again to do some stuff. Eric and I grabbed our transcripts and he got his diploma too. When we were dropping off the transcripts and diploma, Donna (grouchy campus "security" lady) came and yelled at us, saying we’re not even allowed to visit the school and we are in fact, trespassing. We all take it up to the office to deal with. Receptionist tells Donna students do this all the time and the teachers encourage it. Poff gets many many visitors and the office is used to it. We end up getting called into Supervision office and as we sat there waiting for Mr. Hertsfeld (spelling unsure) to settle this matter, Officer Lund asked me if we’ve already seen Poff. I replied affirmatively and he just told us to leave. What’s funny is Donna reminds me of Mrs. Chi from Irvine Chinese School… the one we got fired. They’re both hard-headed and close-minded. Their co-workers despise them… yet someone like with that kind of personality and coldness is needed for maintaining order. Well, I suppose Donna maintains order. Honestly… she wouldn’t have been about to do much to me. I can freakin park on the street if I really had to. Similar to Glenn, I enjoy agitating simple-minded, cold, heartless bureaucratic followers. OK, enough about FV.

It’s about 9 and we decide to go play some pool. Checked both Edison Rec and Murdy’s to no avail. Both were closed. Oh well… onward to the next on my agenda: Irvine. OK I’m pretty sure Dahlia told me 11:51AM is when they get out for lunch. The truth is… they get out at 12:51PM. So Eric and I loitered and wandered and eventually left to go cruising. The incessant questioning from me: "Where do you want to go, Eric?"

Somehow ended up at In-N-Out, but it was nearing the time to pick up Dahlia, Tiffanie, and "Feffi" so back we go, to University High School. The bell rings and I start worrying about not recognizing them. Good thing I did =) Tiffanie and Dahlia both still looked relatively the same. There was also a new face constantly referred to as "Feffi" and even now, I do not know her real name. "What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." Wow… I just quoted Shakespeare. ^^ Lunch was… well a little rushed. OK, so it was very rushed. Eric and Glenn ordered all the food while Dahlia, Feffi, Tiffanie, and I went to Cha to order some tea-based drinks. Quickly ran back to grab the food and left for Uni High again. Eric and I then cruised on back to Fountain Valley. Dropped off the cameras from Grad Nite and then went to Family Fun for 1 race of Rush 2049. After that, we went to a card shopt to check out prices for cards here. To my disappointment, they only carried sealed packs and various collectible storage supplies such as sleeves and boxes. I bought a box to fit 800 cards I think, 7 nine-page binder sleeves, and Eric picked a pack of Odyssey for me. Crazy ass Eric got me ANOTHER Cabal, Patriarch AND a Squirrel’s Nest. Talk about combo! *Ahem* anyways…. went back to get our pictures from Grad Nite and as I drove toward Murdy’s for pool, Eric browsed through the 100 pictures we had developed courtesy of Eric. Thank you Eric. Murdy’s had some class in the pool room and so I just spontaneously decided to call Jennifer up. Jennifer’s the beautiful and talented friend I made when we were both picked as Masters of Ceremony for the 2000 Celebration of the Year of the Dragon. Ahh… old times =)

Good thing I called her too ^^ since we stayed at her house from about 4 to 8 talking, eating pizza, brownies she baked, and watching Cats and Dogs. Jennifer’s changed a bit or so it seems to me. More mature, and I like that. She gave me a CD that she just released. Talented girl I tell ya. Also, for the first time, I was allowed in her bedroom and got to stay there to chat. Looked over horoscopes and stuff (why’d we do that?)… Ordered pizza and then she started baking brownies for us =) and eventually joining us for the movie. Near the end, Glenn calls my cell and due to the poor reception, we exchanged hellos for quite a while before I decided to just hang up and call him. He called me instead! Oh well at least it worked that time. He wanted me and Eric to stop by his house and then plan our next destination from there. "So be it" I thought. Arrived there and left with nothing more than wasted time. "Let’s go visit Tiffanie!" Alrighty! That we did. Called up Dahlia on both her lines for 20 minutes before finally getting through on line 2. Got Tiffanie’s phone number from her real quick and called up Tiffanie. Jotted down directions and went there. Unfortunately we uhh… missed it. I drove past her house a couple times too always looking at her house since it looked so familiar and sure enough… it really was her’s. We came at a bad time I guess. Hugged and parted with hopes of seeing each other again soon. OK, so my definition of soon isn’t too good… next year or so.

Drove back to Eric’s house and just relaxed there. Stayed there for a while and I decided to go home. Going home was… well unpleasant to say the least. I expected to get home in 15-20 minutes driving between 80 and 110 mph. Too bad I was an idiot or just too tired and missed my turn. Missed the freakin 605-N!!! I ended up noticing I went too far when I approached downtown LA. Called my mom hoping for a shorter way to backtrack to no avail. Just had to drive all the way back to the junction again. When I finally got off the 605, I sighed deeply with relief. What should’ve taken me 20 minutes, took me about an hour. That goes to show how far I drove past the 605 before turning back. So here I am now, still blogging and reminiscing today’s excitement. I will treasure these 3 weeks since the next time I get to see my friends here in California will be either 7 or 11 months away.

All in all, another good day. No, let me rephrase… it was a great day.
